A New Hampshire trucker died in a rollover crash in Massachusetts Friday, Oct. 11.
State police said Sunday, Oct. 13, that Lois Ann Johnson, 62, of Woodstock, New Hampshire, was the truck driver who died in the crash on Route 2 in Orange, which is located in north-central Massachusetts.
Troopers say Johnson’s tractor-trailer crashed through a guardrail and rolled over. The truck was carrying cylinders of pressurized natural gas. Some nearby residents were evacuated from their homes temporarily.
Police said there were no immediate signs of driver impairment.
Driver dies in I-94 crash in southwest Michigan
The driver of a tractor-trailer died Friday, morning Oct. 11, in a one-vehicle crash and fire on Interstate 94 near the Michigan-Indiana border.
Investigators from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, report witness told them the truck struck a guardrail, ran off the road and hit a tree before bursting into flames. The crash occurred near the 1-mile marker of I-94.
The truck is reported to be registered to Nationwide Truck Brokers of Byron Center, Michigan, and was hauling clothing for Meijer to Wisconsin. The driver was not identified by police, who said the driver was alone in the truck at the time of the crash.
