“Kane is a strategic addition to the TransWood family,” said TransWood President Brian Wood. “They mirror our longevity in the transportation industry as well as our core values and commitment to safety and service. Kane’s pledge to quality, and on-time service, without compromising on safety, or the environmental stewardship are major factors in this acquisition.”

Pete Kane will serve as general manager, and Pat Kane will serve as operations manager. Future plans will include integrating TransWood’s technology and operations experience to enhance Kane’s ability to serve their customers.
“Through this acquisition of skilled people and equipment, we can provide the additional hauling capacity of liquid bulk products to our customers in a larger service area including more capacity in core markets of the upper Midwest,” said Stan Meier, TransWood’s vice president of Sales and Marketing. We are thrilled to be able to gain so many high-quality transportation professionals, including drivers, with the same qualities of safe and caring service that our current TransWood employees pride themselves on.”
“Kane Transport is excited to continue dependable and quality services to complement TransWood’s commitment to excellence,” said Pete Kane, CEO of Kane Transport, which has facilities in Duluth, Mankato, Marshall, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota; Fargo, North Dakota; and Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
