Those five states are staging what they call Operation Southern Shield now through Sunday, July 26. This is there the fourth year for the special enforcement effort.
This year’s focus comes at a time when law enforcement agencies across the country report speeding has increased as traffic, especially in normally congested urban areas, has thinned out as people work from home because of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
