Louisiana cops recover stolen tractor, trailer & cargo

Louisiana State Police report they recently recovered a stolen truck and trailer as well as cargo, which also had been stolen.

According to the troopers, on Feb. 7, a 2019 Peterbilt valued at $125,000 was reported stolen in St. Helena Parish. They also received a report of a 2021 flatbed trailer valued at $50,000 was stolen in Tangipahoa Parish. Also stolen were nine rolls of aluminum wire valued at $154,000.

Troopers found the truck, trailer and wire in New Orleans. They also found 53-year-old Terry Woodside who troopers say was "actively dismantling the stolen truck and trailer." The missing wire was also found at that location. They also located several other partially dismantled stolen vehicles on the property. 

Woodside was arrested and charged with possession of stolen things in excess of $324,000 and removal or alteration of vehicle identifying numbers.

Police continue their investigation.
