Road rage incident leads to trucker being shot, wounded on I-71 in Ohio

Police in Ohio are investigating a shooting incident on Interstate 71 in Ohio Wednesday, Feb. 8 that left a truck driver wounded.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials say that a trucker was shot by the driver of a cargo van on I-71 southbound near the Richland/Morrow County line at around 6 p.m.

WKYC-TV reports 911 calls indicate the truck driver shot at the cargo van after its driver had allegedly side-swiped him.

Troopers said the victim was shot in the arm and was bleeding heavily following the incident. Emergency medical services personnel took the truck driver to a local hospital.

It is unknown if any arrests have been made in connection to this incident.
