Trucking firms named to Newsweek's list of Most Trustworthy Companies

A number of major trucking companies are on a new list of the most trustworthy companies in America.

The list was compiled by Newsweek and includes a total of 700 companies in 23 industries. Their trustworthiness was assessed by customers, employees and investors. The list included 35 companies in the category Newsweek labeled Transport, Logistics, and Packaging.

Trucking companies that made the list and their ranking included:

  • U.S. Xpress, 6
  • Ascent, 7
  • Schneider National, 10
  • Atlas, 14
  • Knight-Swift Transportation, 15
  • USA Truck, 17
  • NFI Industries, 20
  • Old Dominion Freight Line, 25
  • Ryder, 31
  • Swift Transportation, 35

Newsweek said, "We looked at a pool of 3,100 U.S.-based companies (1,800 publicly held and 1,300 privately held) with revenues over $500 million. Their rankings were based on the results of an independent survey from a sample of about 25,000 people in the U.S. who were asked how much they agreed with statements like "I trust in this company to treat me fairly as its customer," "I believe this company offers good opportunities for career development" and "I believe this company would be a good long-term investment."
