Illinois-based GP Transco recently gave all of its drivers new tablets and an unlimited data plan.
A statement from the company said drivers received iPad Mini Gen 7 tablets and unlimited data to help them access in-cab data as well as stay in touch with familky and friends.
GP Transco said the idea of outfitting drivers with the tablets and unlimited data was the result of driver satisfaction surveys the company conducted.
The company said giving drivers the tablets will increase operational efficiency, and make drivers happier.
Located in Joliet, Illinois, GP Transco has some 524 drivers according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's SAFER website.
