Illinois State Police continue investigating an incident that occurred at about 3 this morning on the Bishop Ford expressway — I-94 — in which a pickup truck driver tried to hitch a ride.
Police told local media that the pickup’s driver drove onto an empty car carrier as both sped down the highway. They say the trucker, thinking he had blown a tire, stopped and found the pickup had actually driven onto his moving vehicle.
The driver of the car carrier was uninjured, and the pickup’s driver was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
