At some point in your life — most likely as a kid or teenager — you heard someone tell you (command you!) to, “Stand up straight!” If you are one of the many truckers who also served in the military, you most likely had good posture drilled into you.
Well, it still pays in many ways to stand up straight. Bad posture can cause any number of problems, and as this infographic shows, good posture can be good for your mental as well as physical health. Standing tall and straight can:
- Improve your mood
- Increase blood flow to the brain
- Help you make friends
- Boost your confidence
- Increase your productivity
And, the cool thing is, improving your posture requires not much time, no special equipment or expensive gym membership. In fact, you can do it when you take breaks from driving or at the end of your work day.
