As a woman behind the wheel of a commercial motor vehicle, you know you’re part of about just 6 or 7 percent of the total number of truckers in the American trucking industry. There are even fewer women driving trucks in Australia, which, like the U.S. depends on trucks to move most of its freight and also has a shortage of truckers. This video tells the story of Australian women truck drivers who make up an even smaller minority — just 2 percent — there. One of the women in the video is Lyndal Denny, who is a member of the She Drives Facebook group for women drivers. Fair warning, this video contains some content that some will find objectionable.
