A truck driver is being credited with helping a woman whose car spun off northbound I-75 south of Flint, Michigan and struck a tree late last week. Thomas Carter Jr. of Grand Blanc Township stopped his truck Friday, Dec. 22, when he saw the woman’s car leave the interstate. He told WJRT-TV: “She spun three times, went down in a ditch, spun once more and hit a tree. There was a lot of smoke and she couldn’t get out of the car.” Not only did Carter get the woman out of the car, but he went back to get her keys, purse and walker. The trucker was treated at a nearby hospital for burns.
