Parked vehicles keep unattended truck from hitting diner

Little did one trucker realize that as he sat having a meal at Mel’s Diner in Jackson, California last week, his truck was rolling downhill straight for where he sat. Fortunately, vehicles parked in front of the diner kept the truck with its load of heavy equipment from plowing into the diner. A waitress whose truck was hit by the runaway rig said it was a miracle no one was injured in the crash on Nov. 21.
