A fire that destroyed a tractor-trailer and the large boat it was hauling is being blamed on a sleepy truck driver. The truck’s driver is said to have fallen asleep causing his rig to hit a retaining wall on eastbound Beltway 8 South near Houston Monday morning. The truck’s cab caught fire and the blaze spread to the trailer and the boat it was carrying. The unidentified driver escaped the blaze.
