Texas truckers threaten strike over autonomous trucks and benefits

Union drivers for a major grocery store chain voted to strike over the possible use of autonomous trucks and for improved benefits.

Teamsters Local Union 745 about 100 truck drivers working for Albertsons in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They voted on Monday, May 12, to strike over autonomous semi truck concerns and better benefit 

Drivers have been working without a contract since Saturday, May 10. They have been in negotiations with the company since February.

No strike date has been set.
