The Truckers Missing Child Project’s annual human trafficking and missing children awareness campaign is under way throughout the month of May.
Dugal Trimble, TMCP founder, started the Ribbons & Headlights campaign three years ago to draw attention to missing children. During the month of May, participating drivers and fleets decorate their rigs with yellow and blue ribbons and drive with their headlights on.
The yellow ribbons represent the missing children. The blue ribbons represent missing children who have died. The campaign asks drivers to wear the ribbons throughout the month of May, but particularly on May 25, which is National Missing Children’s Day.
TMCP is currently unable to provide the ribbons, but they hope to be able to do so in the future. For more information on the campaign, visit its Facebook page here.
