A full list of new titles is springing up on your favorite streaming services in May. We’ve rounded up seven newly available titles we thought you may want to know about.
1. 48 Hrs. (Hulu) – May 1
A cop and a temporarily paroled criminal team up to pursue a cop killer. They have 48 hours to solve the crime.
2. The Bad News Bears (Amazon Prime) – May 1
A little league team of non-athletic children falls under the leadership of former minor-league baseball player Morris Buttermaker. Matched up against tougher teams, the team has to find a way to hold their own.
3. High Plains Drifter (HBO Now) – May 1
Clint Eastwood plays a mysterious stranger who strolls into an isolated mining town. The locals are distrusting of him, but when they take shots at him they find themselves on the chopping block instead.
4. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (Amazon Video) – May 2
In the final installment in the Resident Evil series, Alice wakes up in a desolate White House. The Red Queen appears before her and instructs her to return to the Hive in 48 hours because a new antivirus from the Umbrella Corporation has the potential to kill everything infected with the T-virus.
5. Sully (HBO Now) – May 6
Capt. Chelsey Sullenberger has to pilot an emergency landing of an Airbus A320 after it flies through a flock of birds, disabling the plane’s two engines. Afterward, he comes under criticism for the way he handled the situation. The film is based on a true story.
7. Marvel’s Doctor Strange (Netflix) – May 30
Stephen Strange, a New York neurosurgeon, loses use of both his hands after a severe car accident. He searches for ways to regain use of his hands, and that pursuit leads him to a sorcerer called the Ancient One who recruits him as her student.
