A slip is not a fail; just do better tomorrow

A candy bar is not a disaster; just do better tomorrow.

 “I’m chasing perfection.” Kobe Bryant

That’s fine, Kobe. When he’s paid $23.5 million to play a game, he ought to be as close to perfect as possible.

But, you’re pushing a fully-loaded truck down the interstate day in and day out without an entourage of trainers, helpers and lackeys.

So, when you have a bad day eating, don’t beat yourself up. You aren’t chasing perfection; you’re just trying to lose some weight and get fit.

Think of this way, you have to consume 3,500 calories to add a single pound of body weight. That’s a lot of calories.

If you do over-indulge, just tell yourself you’ll do better tomorrow and then do it. Whittle away the calories a handful at a time, and get back on track.

Also, take an extra lap around your truck at each stop and you’ll be fine.

What you don’t want to do is starve yourself. That’s not going to work.

And, remember, not even Kobe Bryant drains ever three-pointer he throws up.
