Days on the road can be long, demanding, unpredictable and tiring. So, when it comes to making a good, hot and healthy dinner — or lunch or, for that matter, breakfast — it’s always nice to have a a quick and easy “go to” recipe.
This omelet recipe for an Aroma cooker (it’s from their website) is one such dish. It requires minimal prep time and is as simple or complicated as you wish. Besides, it’s a good staple if you are low-carbing it.
Here’s all it takes:
- 4 eggs, separated
- Cheese
- Filling(s) of your choice
Whip the egg whites until fluffy. Whisk egg yolks until blended and mix with whites.
Spray the inner cooking pot with cooking spray, pour in the eggs and close the lid. Set your rice cooker to “steam” for five minutes. When the cooker beeps fill it with cheese and your favorite fillings and fold in half. Lift onto a plate and serve.
Note: The omelet should not be fully cooked when removed from the pan because it continues to cook on its own after removed from heat.
