Forensic analysis pending in truck stop stabbing investigation

Police in Sumner, Washington are still working to solve the murder of a trucker who was found stabbed to death in his rig at the area’s Mustardseed Truck Stop.

Evidence remains pending analysis in the state’s forensics crime lab.

Piotr Pietrzykowski, 52, of Elgin, Illinois was found stabbed to death in his truck round 5:34 a.m. on March 8 at the Mustardseed Truck Stop in Sumner. There are currently no leads in the investigation.

Truckersfinalmile.org, a non-profit assisting truckers’ families, is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
