The nine Trucking’s Top Rookie finalists after the ceremony.Decorated Army veteran Chris Crowell left the Great American Trucking Show last week with an extra $10,000 and the title of 2016 Trucking’s Top Rookie.
Crowell, a company driver with Werner Enterprises, was one of nine finalists up for the award. You can read their individual stories of how they got into the industry here.
“I couldn’t believe it at first,” Crowell said of winning the award. “You know you read on Truckers News about all these other people who are up for it, and you read about how amazing they are. You come here with the hope you’ll win, but then you do and it’s just, I can’t believe it.”
