Two drivers took home cash prizes after scratching off winning tickets in TravelCenters of America’s ‘SweepSTEAKS’ program, TA announced Dec. 14.
The contest ran from Sept. 12 – Nov. 21 at TA and Petro restaurants nationwide. Customers who purchased a select steak entree received a scratch off card with the chance to win from over 100,000 prizes, including $500 and $5,000 cash prizes.
Vietnam veteran and trucker Allen Westover, of San Jose, California, won the $500 prize. Westover scratched off his winning ticket at the Petro in Wheeler Ridge, California, on Oct. 12.
Mike Babcock, a driver for Empire Southwest LLC, won the $5,000 prize. Babcock, of Maricopa, Arizona, scratched off his winning ticket while dining at the Country Pride at the TA in Tonopah, Arizona, on Nov. 7.
