Pitt Ohio driver wins champion title in Maryland

Pitt Ohio driver Michael Miltenberger earned the grand champion title at the annual Maryland Truck Driving Championship for having the highest overall score. He also won first place in the 5-Axle class.

Miltenberger was also Maryland’s grand champion in 2017, after also winning first place in the 5-Axle class that year.

The Maryland Truck Driving Championship was organized by the Maryland Motor Truck Association and held June 2 in Timonium.

The winners were:

Grand Champion: Michael Miltenberger, Pitt Ohio

Rookie of the Year: Kenneth Paulick, Carroll Independent Fuel

Team Champion: Pitt Ohio

Pre-Trip Inspection: Jason Toothman, FedEx Freight

Mixer: Stephen Waclawski, Chaney Enterprises

Dump Truck: Gilbert Frye, Ross Contracting

Straight Truck: Jason Toothman, FedEx Freight

3-Axle: Lou Petrovia, XPO Logistics

4-Axle: Donald Nichols, ABF Freight

5-Axle: Michael Miltenberger, Pitt Ohio

Flatbed: Jerry Stephenson, Giant Food

Sleeper Berth: Steven Williams, Perdue

Tank Truck: Kenneth Paulick, Carroll Independent Fuel

Twins: John Everhart, FedEx Freight
