Veterans Day: Businesses offer discounts; meet drivers who served

American FlagIf you are one of the thousands of truck drivers who is also a military veteran, then you have plenty of options for a free meal this weekend. Nationwide, business are offering freebies and discounts for the men and women who served or are currently serving in the U.S. military.

Offers range from free entrees, free appetizers, percentage discounts, and more.

And, be sure to meet the truck drivers who are also military veterans.

Veterans Day specials include:

  • Acapulco Restaurant: Guests with military ID may receive a free 3-item combo from 3 p.m. until closing.
  • Applebee’s: Veterans and active duty military may receive a free full-size entree from a select menu on Nov. 11.
  • Back Yard Burgers: Guests with military ID receive a free Back Yard Classic Burger on Nov. 11.
  • Bakers Square: On Nov. 11, customers with military ID receive a free breakfast.
  • BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse: Guests with military ID may receive a free entree up to $12.95 and a free Dr. Pepper on Nov. 11.
  • Bonefish Grill: On Nov. 11, guests with military ID may receive a free Bang Bang shrimp appetizer.
  • Boston Market: On Nov. 11, guests with military ID may receive a free individual meal when they purchase one.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings: On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty military may receive a free order of wings and free fries.
  • California Pizza Kitchen: On Nov. 11, guests with military ID may receive a free entree from a select menu.
  • Chili’s: On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty military may receive a free entree from a select menu.
  • Chipotle: On Nov. 11, veterans, active duty military, and their families may receive a free burrito, salad, or order of tacos when they purchase one at regular price.
  • City Barbecue: On Nov. 11, guests with military ID may receive a free sandwich, two sides, and a regular beverage.
  • Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: On Nov. 11, customers with military ID may receive a free coffee or espresso, or a free slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts: Guests with a military ID may receive a free donut.
  • Denny’s: On Nov. 12, guests with military ID may receive a free Build Your Own Gand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon.
  • Famous Dave’s: On Nov. 11-12, veterans and active duty military may receive a free two-meat combo.
  • Golden Corral: On Nov. 12, anyone who has served in the military may receive a free dinner.
  • Hooters: On Nov. 11, guests with military ID may receive a free entree from a select menu when they purchase a beverage.
  • Huddle House: Guest with military ID may receive a free order of Sweet Cakes Nov. 9-12.
  • IHOP: On Nov. 12, veterans and active duty military may receive a free Red, White & Blue pancakes order.
  • Iron Skillet Restaurant: On Nov. 12, veterans and active military receive a free meal from a select menu.
  • LaMar’s Donuts: On Nov. 11, guests with military ID may receive a free donut and 12-ounce coffee.
  • Little Caesars: On Nov. 11, customers with military ID may receive a free $5 lunch combo.
  • Logan’s Roadhouse: On Nov. 11, customers with military ID may receive a free meal from a select menu from 3-6 p.m.

  • Red Lobster: On Nov. 11-12, guest with military ID may receive a free appetizer or dessert from a select menu.
  • Red Robin: Guest with proof of military service may receive a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger with bottomless fries.
  • Ruby Tuesday: On Nov. 11, guest with military ID may receive a free appetizer from a select menu.
  • Shake Shack: On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty military may receive a free scoop of Shake Shack custard.
  • TA Truck Service: Through Nov. 11, TA will donate $5 to Folds of Honor for every Mobil Delvac oil change purchased. Every customer who purchases a Mobile Delvac oil change through Dec. 31 will receive a limited edition Folds of Honor hat while supplies last.
