Snow complicates travel in much of U.S.


The prospects for difficult post-holiday travel are mounting as a major storm has started to deliver snow to the central and northern Plains states and the upper Midwest.

The National Weather Service this morning says, “Travel will quickly become hazardous with slick snow-covered roads. Farther south, heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms are possible across the southern Plains and lower Mississippi Valley. The heavy precipitation will shift toward the East Coast by Friday.
