Part of a car hauler loaded with electric vehicles was destroyed by fire Sept. 24 on Interstate 80 near Carlin, Nevada.
The blaze was reported at about 9 p.m. and destroyed a trailer and the vehicles on it, five Teslas and a Subaru. The driver was able to unhook the burning trailer and move the tractor and the first trailer to safety, according to a spokesperson for the Elko County Fire Protection District.
The blaze touched off a fire in the nearby wildlands near the interstate.
The cause of the blaze was not determined and there were no injuries.
