A company driver from Griswold, Iowa was recently named driver of the year by the Nebraska Trucking Association.

Tim Dean drives in the van network team for Werner Enterprises, which is based in Omaha, Nebraska. He joined Werner in 1988 and has since driven more than 4.2 million accident-free miles for the company.

Dean is no stranger to winning awards. Earlier this year he was the recipient of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s 2019 International Driver Excellence Award. In 2009-2010 he served as an ATA America’s Road Team Captain and has served as a Werner Road Team Captain and mentor since 2005. Dean currently serves as the Road Team co-leader.

Dean received his award at the Nebraska Trucking Association’s recent fall conference. He was that organization’s October Driver of the Month.
