The National Private Truck Council recently honored Marathon Petroleum Corp. driver Billy Villa as a National Driver All-Star.

The award recognizes drivers for high performance standards based on customer service, safety, adherence to company standards, regulatory compliance and community service. Villa has been driving for Marathon for 31 years and has accumulated over 2.7 million miles. Villa is the primary trainer for new drivers at the company’s Niles, Michigan terminal.

“Billy is a true professional and always respectful and courteous,” said Transport Operations Compliance Manager Robert Leipheimer. “Billy makes flawless deliveries and uses his professional driving skills to navigate very tight areas in stations and in traffic without incident. He considers not only his own safety but the safety of others when driving and making deliveries.”
