Truckers in northeastern New York State and surroundings are coming together to help the family of a youngster fighting a life-threatening illness.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, truckers will be part of “Fuel Up for Finn,” a fundraising convoy to help the family of Finn Herringshaw, a 5-year-old boy from Fort Ann, New York, which is located near Lake George between Interstate 87 and the Vermont border. The child was recently diagnosed with leukemia and faces a lengthy and expensive regimen of treatments.

Registration is $100 per truck and includes lunch for the driver. Additional lunches for passengers are available for $15 per person.

The convoy forms at 11 a.m. on Hartman Road in Kingsbury and runs through Fort Ann and down to Friedman Excavating on North Street for lunch.

Truckers may register at Falls Farm and Garden Equipment on Dix Avenue in Hudson Falls.
