
A 15-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly shooting the driver of an 18-wheeler in an apparent road rage incident near Houston
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said a Facebook post the incident occurred at about 5:18 a.m. Wednesday on East Sam Houston Parkway. Gonzalez said the incident involved the driver of the big rig and two occupants inside a silver sedan.
According to Gonzalez, a 23-year-old driver was in the sedan with her 15-year-old brother. They alleged the truck driver clipped their side mirror with the trailer and they were trying to get him to stop.
Gonzalez said the 15-year-old sat on the front passenger window ledge and fired over the top of the vehicle. He said the bullet went through the truck door and struck the driver.
Gonzalez said the teen was charged with aggravated assault.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, was listed in critical but stable condition in a local hospital, according to Gonzalez
MA college receives CDL funding
Berkshire Community College (BCC) is the recipient of a $132,825 Training Resources and Internships Network (TRAIN) grant from the state government.
BCC is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
The TRAIN grants provide essential training opportunities to unemployed and underemployed people across Massachusetts. Administered through 13 of the state’s public community colleges, the grant is designed to equip adult workers with the skills necessary to thrive in key industry sectors.
BCC’s grant is earmarked for commercial driver’s license training. Trained CDL drivers are in high demand in the Berkshires and beyond.

Roadmaster renovates Mississippi facility
Roadmaster Drivers School recently announced it has is unveiling a $1.5 million renovation of its Jackson, Mississippi training facility.
The renovation includes resurfaced CDL training, testing areas and upgraded instructional spaces. The facility's investment will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 15.
The company said in a statement the project underscores Roadmaster's continued commitment to Jackson and the entire state of Mississippi.
