Forecasting services are warning this week’s severe cold as being “life-threatening”. Windchills of -20, -30 and even -40 are forecast for some sections of the Upper Midwest and Northeast, and residents are being warned to stay inside as much as possible.
That warning is not possible for many truck drivers. If you’re a trucker who has to be outside even for a brief while, there are precautions to take to avoid frostbite and hypothermia, both of which can be dangerous.
