February experienced heavy cargo thefts in Arkansas and a Texas driver losing his job for writing in “Jesus” as his co-driver.

These were the most read stories of February 2015:

1. Beware of thefts on Interstate 40 and Interstate 55 (Read it here.)

More than 40 pilferage events took place along Interstate 40 and Interstate 55 in February. The thefts occurred between West Memphis, Ark. and Forrest City, Ark. Items stolen ranged from poultry to firearms.

2. Driver fired for saying Jesus is his co-driver (Read it here.)

Texas trucker Ramiro Olivarez was fired after writing in “Jesus” as his co-driver in his logbook. The company he was employed for at the time said he submitted incomplete documentation and falsified legal documents.

3. 20 fleets in running to be named ‘Best to Drive For’ (Read it here.)

Truckload Carriers Association and CarriersEdge chose 20 trucking companies as the 2015 Best Fleets to Driver For. The contest aims to identify companies that provide the best workplace experiences for their drivers.

A 1979 Peterbilt faced off with a Mustang in the quarter mile.
