Nebraska carrier increasing driver pay

K&B Transportation, which is based in South Sioux City, Nebraska, has a new pay package that goes into effect on Monday, May 7.

The pay increase raises starting pay to 50 cents per mile for all hires and guarantees $1,250 per week minimum. With this increase, pay now caps at 54 cpm for senior drivers with a $1,350 weekly, according to a statement from the company. K&B Transportation also offers full accessory pay, paid vacation and safety bonuses.

The company also said it is cycling out older equipment and replacing tractors with 2018 Freightliner Cascadias equipped with automatic transmissions.
