The Nebraska Trucking Association is working with the Nebraska State Patrol on a new safety program intended to address unsafe driving behavior around large trucks.
Troopers will ride with truckers and watch for motorists who are driving while texting, tailgating, speeding, and driving aggressively. If bad drivers are spotted by the trooper in the truck, they will radio ahead to a waiting officer and the violator will be stopped.
