Georgia’s trucking grand champion is UPS Freight driver Keith Crook, who earned the highest overall score at the Georgia Truck Driving Championship, May 10-11 in Buford at the Lanier Islands resort complex.
Crook also won first place in the 5-Axle class. Publix’s Justin Durden was named Rookie of the Year. New South Express driver Mark Weeks was named the Georgia Motor Trucking Association’s Driver of the Year during the festivities.
The class winners will advance to the national championship Aug. 14-17 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
