ABF Freight’s Joseph Carrillo was named grand champion at the annual New Mexico Truck Driving Championship, held May 11 in Bernalillo. Carrillo also won first place in the twins class.
In Colorado, FedEx Freight driver Brook Figgins was named the state’s grand champion at its championship, held June 1 in Henderson. Figgins also won first place in the sleeper berth class. Chris Schultz, a driver with American Furniture Warehouse, was named Rookie of the Year and also won first place in the straight truck class.
