UPDATE: Police in Nashville say they have arrested the two suspects in the road rage shooting of a tractor-trailer driver in broad daylight earlier this week.

Our original story:

Police in Nashville are searching for the person who stopped their car to block a tractor-trailer, exited the vehicle, walked up to the truck, and shot the driver through the truck's door.

"It appears the Acura occupants were upset that the truck driver changed lanes from the right to the left in front of them," a spokesperson for Metro Police told WZTV.

The police say when the truck stopped, two men got out of the Acura and walked up to the truck driver’s door. One shot was fired through the door, hitting the truck driver in the midsection. The two then got back into the car and fled.

The unidentified, 40-year-old trucker was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police continue their investigation.
