Officers from the California Highway Patrol's Fort Tejon Area recently conducted 10-day commercial vehicle enforcement blitz along the Grapeview Corridor of Interstate 5.

From March 15 to March 24 officers from the Fort Tejon, Grapevine Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility and Central Division Commercial Unit made almost 700 enforcement contacts. Of those stops, almost 500 drivers were cited for out of lane and/or speed violations.

CHP Fort Tejon in a statement said a major concern has been the increasing number of commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles towing trailers that are traveling at unsafe speeds and within the wrong lanes.
