(Image Courtesy of Delaware Motor Transport Association)Walmart Transportation driver Robert Benton won the grand champion title and first place in the 5-Axle class at the Delaware Truck Driving Championship, held May 18 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. Benton also won an award for having the highest score on the pre-trip portion of the competition.
First-time competitor Anthony Manso, who drives for FedEx Freight, won first place in the 4-Axle class and was named Rookie of the Year.
The class winners will go on to compete at the National Truck Driving Championship in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Aug. 14-17.
