
Drivers with Old Dominion Freight Line and FedEx won in several categories at the Idaho Truck Driving Championship, held May 3-4 in Meridian at the Idaho State Police training facility.
Old Dominion drivers took the top spots in the 3-Axle, 5-Axle and Flatbed classes. FedEx drivers in the fleet’s Freight and Ground divisions won first in the 4-Axle, Tanker, Twins, and Step Van classes.
YRC Freight driver Paul Unser had the highest overall score, making him the grand champion. First-time competitor Kaden Schultz, of Old Dominion Freight Line, took home the Rookie of the Year title.
The class winners will advance to the national championship Aug. 14-17 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
